‘The Young and The Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary And Devon Attempt To Make Their Marriage Work – Will Hevon Stay Together?

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) are back together on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But, this particular power couple rejoined numerous times before. Now that Hilary appears to have her medical condition under control, a seeming truce has been realized with Neil (Kristoff St. John), and business matters were smoothed over, will ‘Hevon’ be able to stay together?

Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ know that Hilary has a troubled past. She initially came to Genoa City seeking revenge against Neil, believing that he was responsible for her mother’s untimely death by alcohol. Then, after Hilary’s plots were revealed Neil forgave her. That led to their unusual romantic connection which lasted for a brief period in soap time.

Devon eventually caught Hilary’s eye and won her heart. That messy emotional period led to a scandalous arc where Neil went blind, while his wife and son became a hidden couple. After that matter was exposed, Neil regained his sight, discovered what had happened, and became crazed with rage. He later plotted to sabotage Hevon’s honeymoon immediately after giving the power couple his blessing at their nuptials.

Neil explained his revenge scheme to Hilary on the honeymoon island he’d followed ‘Hevon‘ to. She was understandably stunned by the facts Neil presented, fell off a cliff and into a coma. That sequence forced Neil to airlift Devon’s bride back to Genoa City and recruit Dr. Simon Neville (Michael E. Knight) to revive her.

A few rough plot edges were eventually sanded and ‘Hevon’ reclaimed its status on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But, Jack (Peter Bergman) seems likely to learn at some point that Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) formed ‘Philly’ behind his back. Will Hilary’s past plays for the head of Jabot and Jack’s future vulnerability enable a new power couple to rise? And, if the plot doesn’t play out in that direction, might Devon be the one who decides to move in another relationship direction?
