‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Halloween Week Sully Reveal – Sharon is Genoa City’s Ghoul

Sharon (Sharon Case) convinced herself that it everything would work out somehow on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But life was never going to flow that way. Now, as the Sully reveal explodes, Sharon will be exposed as Genoa City’s Ghoul.

What type of person takes another woman’s prematurely born baby and has a nurse tell his parents that he’s dead? Dr. Sandra Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush), that’s who. However, a second question must also be asked. What type of person confirms that she was given a baby by Doctor Malpractice and then never tells anyone, except her former ghost daughter Mariah (Camryn Grimes)? Well, if this is The Young and the Restless, and it is, then that person could only be Sharon McAvoy.

Oh, she won’t be Mrs. McAvoy for much longer. As soon as poor Dylan (Steve Burton) learns that his dearly beloved wife lied about being pregnant, lied about him finally becoming a first-time father and lied about who was actually calling the cottage (and what was said), then Sharon will be retaining Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) for yet another divorce court proceeding.

No talking it out with Dylan this time. No marriage counseling. No overly emotional explanations about Sharon’s mental health condition, which had little, if anything to do with the free will choices she made. But yes, all love will be gone.

One of the definitions of the word ghoul is: A person who revels in what is revolting. Now, to be fair to this baby-keeper, Sharon didn’t take pleasure in Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) ongoing grief over the supposed loss of his child. Yet, she surely did seem satisfied in the false family she created by having kept Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) child.

When the truth comes out Sharon will begin crying. She’ll attempt to shift blame to dead doctor Anderson, or to Patty (Stacy Haiduk). Unstated among those excuses and others will be one simple admission, “I didn’t tell the truth and I’m sorry.” And then Sharon will face the consequences of her actions. Boo!
