“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, February 12, tease that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will learn Summer (Hunter King) has come on board at Newman Enterprises. In Victor’s (Eric Braeden) office, Nikki is surprised by the news. Victor defends Summer’s qualifications and gives Nikki updates on the Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) saga.
At Top of the Tower, Adam (Justin Hartley) informs Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) that he needs to steer clear of Summer. Adam adds that Noah (Robert Adamson) is out of the country. He hints that Luca doesn’t have leverage anymore. Meanwhile, Marisa (Sofia Pernas) and Noah are in a hotel room on an island. Noah gets worried that Luca is going to find out that he left and Marisa came with him.
Marisa says she doesn’t care what Luca thinks about any of this. Noah brings up the fact that he’s working with Luca, but Marisa wants him to forget about it. Later, Luca calls up Noah. He thinks Noah is hiding out in Genoa City in order to dupe Victor and Adam. When Luca hears Marisa in the background, he flies into a rage.
Marisa takes the phone and stands up for herself. She admits she left town with Noah and they’re not coming back. Afterwards, Noah mentions that his family lives in Genoa City. Marisa urges Noah to live in the moment. They make love and Noah eventually accepts the idea of never going home.
At Summer’s place, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) argues with Natalie (Mara McCaffray). She warns that Natalie will be in big trouble if anything goes wrong. The fact that Summer is involved concerns Phyllis. Summer comes back and sees them talking.
When Natalie steps out, Summer confesses that Victor wants her to monitor Natalie. Phyllis hints that this babysitting gig is beneath Summer. She doesn’t want her caught in the crossfire once Victor gets what’s coming to him. Later, Summer and Natalie talk about how intense Phyllis can be about Victor. Natalie pretends she’s glad she doesn’t have to get caught up in the Newman and Abbott war.
Elsewhere, Billy (Jason Thompson) lets Victoria (Amelia Heinle) know that he just needs a little more time to get his act together. Billy wants to ask Victoria to marry him once he’s worthy of her. A short time later, Billy meets with Phyllis and learns that Summer is watching Natalie. They form a new strategy. If they let Summer find out Natalie is a con artist, Victor will ditch her. Then, they can hire Natalie outright.
Back at Newman, Luca meets with Adam and tells him that he’s been played. Luca brings up the plot he had going to bring Victor down. Noah was supposed to help, but he left with Marisa instead. Adam doesn’t buy Luca’s claims, but Luca urges him to accept it.
Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Natalie will open up to Summer about shuffling in and out of boarding schools as a kid. When Natalie gets a text and rushes off, Summer tries to follow. She eventually loses the trail. At Crimson Lights, Billy says that Natalie should make Summer believe she’s a con artist. Natalie grins mischievously and implies that she might be one.
At Top of the Tower, Phyllis tracks down Victor to rip into him for hiring Summer. She hints that Natalie is shady and she doesn’t want Summer tangled up with her. Nikki supports Victor’s move and Phyllis storms out. Victor and Nikki wonder why Phyllis gave up so easily. Y&R rumors suggest that Phyllis’ new scheme may not work out exactly like she plans.
