‘The Young and The Restless’ Spoilers Friday April 1: Victor Fights In Prison, Meets Mystery Man – Sage Freaks as Shawn Bonds with David – Victoria Declares War on Billy

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, April 1, tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) won’t be in a great mood as he adjusts to life in the slammer. At the state penitentiary, Victor’s talkative cellmate proves to be annoying. Victor barks that he’s not there to make friends. The cellmate hints that Victor may have been something special in Genoa City, but he’s nobody in the slammer.

Later, the same prisoner threatens Victor with a weapon in a common area. Victor throws a punch and the inmate growls, “He’s not going to like this.” Victor is shuffled back to his cell by a guard. Someone appears and Victor looks up. He says he should’ve known it’d be him.

Meanwhile, Dylan (Steve Burton) comes home and learns Shawn (Devon Martinez) had the baby. Sharon (Sharon Case) explains how it’ll be her fault if Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sage (Kelly Sullivan) lose their little boy. Dylan gets on the phone and receives updates on the baby. David is stable, but Sharon remains concerned.

Dylan gripes about Sharon meddling. She wishes she wouldn’t have talked to Shawn about her experience with adoption. The conversation shifts to Sharon’s nightmares about Sully. Dylan is still curious about Sully’s birth. He says he talked to Patty (Stacy Haiduk) and she kept bringing up the baby. Dylan urges Sharon to try to remember what happened when Sully was born.

Sharon struggles to recall anything. She says she spoke with Dylan by video chat and the next thing she knew, she was holding Sully. Sharon can’t remember giving birth, but she has a fuzzy memory of a nurse being in the room.

At the athletic club, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) hears the news that Pass Key is being launched. Billy (Jason Thompson) and Jack (Peter Bergman) come to see Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Victoria pulls Billy aside and Jack argues with Phyllis about her plans. Jack just wants the feud between the Newmans and the Abbotts to finally end.

Nearby, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) gathers with Kevin (Greg Rikaart), Natalie (Mara McCaffray) and Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva). Kevin and Luca quarrel over who will speak with a reporter. Jack walks over and fires Luca. Summer (Hunter King) wonders if Jack will do the same thing to Phyllis. Mariah urges Summer to be careful when it comes to Luca. She fears Summer will get hurt.

By the staircase, Victoria complains about Billy stealing the project. She says she’s in charge at Newman now, so this launch hurts her as well. Things get heated, but Kevin interrupts. Victoria tries to go through Jack instead. She tells him to stop this launch, but Jack thinks it’s too late. Besides, it’s good for Jabot. Jack tells Victoria to let it go and give Billy his moment.

Phyllis gives a brief opening speech for the launch. Natalie tries to explain what the program does and Kevin steps up to make everything easier to understand. When it’s Billy’s turn, Victoria rushes over and slaps him. She says Billy is a liar and a thief. The war is on!

Other “Young and the Restless” spoilers reveal that Sage will become even more worried about the adoption. At the hospital, Shawn believes Nick and Sage are holding out on her. She fears something is wrong with the baby. Sage says everything is OK, but Shawn doesn’t need to see David right now. Shawn insists and Nick agrees that they can’t keep her from him.

In a moment alone, Sage tells Nick that Shawn may want to keep the baby if she visits him. Nick doesn’t think there’s anything else they can do. They get the nurse and Shawn is taken to see David in the NICU. Sage and Nick watch Shawn look at David in his incubator. Shawn feels like David can sense that she’s his mom.

Sage freaks out in the hallway, but Nick settles her down. She thinks she’s a monster for wanting to keep Shawn and her child apart. Nick insists that Sage just wants to be a mom. It’s making her crazy.

A short time later, a nurse comes to take David and Shawn tells her no. Y&R rumors hint that Shawn is becoming attached to her little one. Will she decide to keep David after all? Stick with the CBS soap to see how this storyline plays out.
