Dylan (Steve Burton) should be supporting Sharon (Sharon Case) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. It’s totally understandable that he would be enraged at the moment. But once he’s able to deal with his feelings feelings, Dylan should realize the terrible position Sharon was put into by Sandy (Elizabeth Bogush) and offer forgiveness to his spouse.
Sully was named in honor of Dylan’s fallen military buddy who was killed in action overseas. Both he and Sharon believed Sully was their biological child. How many couples would think that a deranged psychiatrist stole a child and gave him to them because she accepted a dare to jump off a roof and broke her neck two decades ago? That’s preposterous, except in very soapy world.
Sharon didn’t know what Sandy had done because she was drugged into a suspended mental state for much of the time that she was at Fairview’s mental health facility. Then, after being made to believe that she was pregnant, Sandy handed Sharon a newborn child. Yes, governmental oversight into that facility was surely lacking.
A choice must now be made. Either Dylan can abandon his wife and the opportunity to reset their marriage, or he can consider forgiving her. If he chooses the first option a new actor would seem likely to join the cast. If Dylan takes off, Burton’s character might be put on ice indefinitely.
Meanwhile, Nick has regained his son, or so he thinks. Of course he has reconnected with the child who he hasn’t seen in nearly a year. But whether he actually sired this one-year-old remains to be seen. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Victor (Eric Braeden) think that Adam (most recently played by Justin Hartley) is actually Christian’s father. One way to prove that theory would be to use a portion of the DNA sample the Genoa City Police Department recovered from the cabin explosion scene. Of course, Adam could always return to reclaim his son. But that’s executive producer Mal Young’s call.
