‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Daniel Meets Mariah – Accepts Blame For Cassie’s Death – Possible Romance For Mariah And Daniel In The Works?

‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers reveal that Daniel Romalotti [Michael Graziadei] and Mariah Copeland [Camryn Grimes] will finally meet. Genoa City is a small town, it’s surprising these two haven’t run into each other already.

One of the first things Mariah says to Daniel is that she knows he’s the one responsible for Casey Newman’s death. Daniel won’t attempt to defend himself, what can he say that hasn’t already been said?

Daniel tells Mariah about the night of the horrific car accident that eventually led to Cassie’s death. Daniel admits he was too drunk to drive and Mariah is shocked when Daniel takes full responsibility for what happened that fateful night.

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest Camryn Grimes reveals that Mariah is overwhelmed by the revelation and it is an “emotionally charged moment” for the character. “[Mariah] doesn’t come from a place of judgement or anger,” Grimes explains.

Mariah is just as Daniel imagined a grown-up Cassie would look like and he asks if Mariah will spend more time with him while he’s in Genoa City. Does that mean Daniel plans to stick around for a while? ‘Y&R’ spoilers reveal that Mariah now knows Daniel isn’t such a bad guy after all.  It’s unclear if Daniel is single, the last we saw of him in 2013, he left GC with Heather – however since his return he hasn’t confirmed if they are still together.

When it comes to romance, Mariah has had difficulty connecting to anyone. Best buddy Kevin Fisher [Greg Rikaart] and Mariah gave it a shot but it just didn’t work out. Mariah thought Nick Newman [Joshua Morrow] might be a guy for whom she could fall, but that wasn’t going to happen.

Would ‘The Young and the Restless’ fans accept a Daniel and Mariah pairing?
