‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Chloe Uses Kevin Option – Penthouse Too Risky, Chelsea Is Suspicious

Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is a manipulator on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She cares about Kevin (Greg Rikaart), when it suits her. Now that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) nearly discovered her crime through a REM-state confession, Chloe suddenly decided that ‘Khloe’ should be revived.

Kevin is a good soul. Yes, he committed many crimes and misdemeanors in the past, but Chloe is the focus of this feature. Kevin never stopped loving his wife, truly cared about her first-born daughter, didn’t want to get divorced and offered to do anything for Chloe when she returned to Genoa City full-time earlier this year.

Knowing that someone cares for you could give certain personality types a perception of power. Of course, schemers leverage those opportunities. In this instance, Chloe knows that it’s become too dangerous for her to remain in Adam’s (formerly played by Justin Hartley) old abode. So, she played up to Kevin, claiming to realize that her feelings for him had been rediscovered.

A recent dream sequence was masterfully projected to viewers this week. Executive producer Mal Young’s artistic influence continues to be seen through use of picture-in-picture images, visual text blurbs and other items that modernize the appearance of this iconic steamer. Within Chloe’s dreamed recollection Y&R fans saw Hartley final scenes one more time. But viewers weren’t the only ones who were given a glimpse inside the goblin’s head.

Chelsea was surprised to hear her supposed best friend mention Adam’s name in anger. She questioned Chloe intently when the witch woke up. Delia’s vengeful mother briefly talked around what happened until Connor’s (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) ear infection offered a convenient distraction. Kevin stopped by later after Chelsea had taken her son to the hospital, which was spurned by Chloe’s two-faced recommendation.

The noted series of events convinced Adam’s assailant that she should reconcile with her ex-husband, to which he instantly agreed. Clearly a move to Kevin’s living space is now in order. That shift would remove Chloe from Chelsea’s proximity, but also open a door for Kevin to learn more about the woman he trusts.
