‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Chelsea Continues To Fight For Adam, Crosses Numerous Lines – Could Connor Lose Both Parents To Prison?

‘The Young And The Restless’ spoilers tease that Chelsea will continue to fight for her husband Adam, by any means necessary.  As we saw last week, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam (Justin Hartley) Newman were fighting tooth and nail to keep their family together, even going as far as planning to sneak out of the country and live “on the run”, in order to stay together.

Adam changed his identity and looks in order to be close to his wife and son, Connor. Returned to town as Gabe Bingham, reconnects with Chelsea and begins playing step-daddy to his own son until the truth is revealed. Chelsea and Adam’s love proves to be strong and seemingly eternal, she accepts his lies and continues to live with him and together they raise their son.

First, Adam seems to escape facing jail time for the accidental hit and run that killed little Delia Abbott, by only receiving probation. Fast forward and we are back in court on Friday, where Adam accepted a plea bargain for a murder he did not commit, and is sentenced to 30 years in prison. Chelsea cries and bids him a goodbye and they part ways.

Chelsea goes to the hospital to see Victor (Eric Braeden), her wicked father-in-law. Before she makes it to the hospital room, she runs into Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and assured Nikki she was only there to make peace with Victor. She grabs a scalpel and is willing to do anything to avenge what is happening to her family.

By doing this, she pretty much guaranteed that Connor will lose both his parents, and end up being raised by the closest family member, who would be who? Victor himself!! What was she thinking? This seems to be a common pattern on soap operas, when do the children come first?
