‘The Young and The Restless’ Spoilers: Ashley Stuns Dr Neville When She Makes a Romantic Play

“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers reveal that we’ll soon see Ashley Abbott [Eileen Davidson] in a steamy lip lock with Dr Simon Neville [Michael E Knight]. The bookish and socially awkward Neville seems an oddball choice for gorgeous Ashley, but their differences are what could make this work.

In coming days, we’ll see a despondent Ashley assume that the treatment protocol Neville designed for her brain tumor isn’t working. Ashley prepares to face her mortality but then Neville runs her blood work again and Ashley is shocked to see it’s working and he’s curing her.

A grateful Ashley will embrace Neville and kiss him – then that kiss of thanks turns into something more intimate. We’ve already seen that Neville has tender feelings towards Ashley. Remember when he checked her in to a hotel and ready medical journals to her and petted her hair while she slept?

Of course she’s rich, sexy and beautiful, so why wouldn’t Neville like her? But from the other perspective, Neville seems an unlikely choice for Ashley. But consider this – her last tryst was with her current son-in-law Stitch Rayburn [Sean Carrigan] and she does NOT want to get back into that mess.

Before that she was twice wed to Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] who is a cad with a capital C. Then there was troublesome Tucker McCall [Stephen Nichols]. Neville is a much better choice for Ashley than any of the other schemers and cheaters she’s been involved with over the years.

Plus, Ashley and Neville share a common interest in research and science. With Neville’s brilliant ideas and Ashley’s experience as a chemist, they could be unstoppable. One person who would be thrilled at this coupling is Abby Newman [Melissa Ordway] since it means Ashley is not available for Stitch.

But will Neville indulge himself with his romantic interest in Ashley? Or will he be too scared she’ll break his heart? After all, Ashley’s brain tumor could be changing her behavior and he may assume her affection for him will dim after she’s cured.

Will Neville follow his heart and embrace what Ashley is offering, even if it’s just for today? Or will he follow his head and talk himself out of taking a chance on love? What do you think? Do you want to see Neville and Ashley couple up? They could be Ashville!
