‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Adam Makes Secret CEO Pact with Victor – Will It Cost Him Chelsea’s Love?

‘The Young and The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman [Justin Hartley] may soon end up in the driver’s seat at Newman Enterprises even though he declined to throw his hat into the ring when he phoned in to the family board meeting.

This all comes back to Victor Newman [Eric Braeden] and his obsessive need to keep Adam nearby and under his thumb. Chelsea Newman [Melissa Claire Egan] foolishly thinks she and Adam are about to leave town for their happily ever after far from Victor.

Boy is she wrong! Victor will dangle the ultimate temptation in front of Adam and his son will take the bait. Victor feels very betrayed by Victoria Newman [Amelia Heinle] since she took the CEO chair and he doesn’t think she can run the company.

During a jail house visit, Victor will propose to Adam that he take over the CEO seat while he’s in the clink. Everyone expects Victor to find a way to weasel out of facing his punishment for the Marco Annicelli [Peter Bergman] scheme, but there may be a twist coming.

Looks like Adam is ready to pack up and leave town with his wife and son but Phyllis Abbott [Gina Tognoni] will come and lay a guilt trip on Adam about making sure his dad goes to jail for what he did to her. Adam just wants free of all of this, but looks like that won’t happen.

Y&R spoilers indicate that Victor and Adam will come to an arrangement where Victor will accept a plea bargain so long as Adam agrees to stick around Genoa City and take the helm of Newman Enterprises. However, doesn’t it seem strange that Victor would agree to take a guilty plea deal?

What is Victor planning? What is he really up to? Looks like Victoria’s recent failures to deal with some of the non-Newman board members will prove problematic and set the stage for Victoria to be voted out in favor of Adam.

But once Adam is in Victor’s chair, will Victor back out of taking the plea bargain? Y&R spoilers indicate that there is a trial set and that all of the Newmans will testify against Victor aside from Summer Newman [Hunter H King]. That indicates no plea deal!

There is also a Y&R casting call out for a prison doctor which indicates Victor will spend time behind bars and will continue to struggle with the medical issue that’s plaguing him. But even if Victor backs out of his end of the deal, that doesn’t mean Adam won’t uphold his part of the secret bargain.

After all, we all know that Adam has long wanted to fill his father’s shoes at Newman Enterprises. Once he gets behind Victor’s desk, no way will Adam walk away from it. In fact, even once Victor is out of jail, he may struggle to oust his son from the CEO seat.

But what impact will Adam’s bargain with Victor have on his marriage to Chelsea? She’s determined to keep him away from the Newmans and was jubilant that they were getting away from Genoa City. Will she rebel against Adam for making a deal with Victor?
