The holiday season is notorious for piling on stress to everyday life and now it looks like two of, “The Young and the Restless’,” couples are in for a rough and tumble start to the New Year.
Genoa City couples Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Christine (Laralee Bell) and Paul (Doug Davidson) share entwined, intense histories, as evidenced by a recent conversation between Lauren and Paul.

As the two former spouses caught up on current events, it became clear that the spark between them hasn’t completely died.
They laughed about his late mother Mary’s stinky sauerkraut, and they commiserated on Lauren’s current woes.
Although the feisty redhead was reluctant to share her troubles, caring Paul insisted that she unburden herself to him.
So, she laid out her current business troubles at Fenmore’s, a fact she has yet to confide in to her husband.
Thoughtful Paul listened and then the two shared a laugh and a friendly touch. Uh-oh, was that Christine spying on them in the background?
Tensions were already high between the blonde D.A. and her Chief of Police hubby, so seeing the two ex’s being chummy wasn’t something that Christine cottoned to.
And, if a new rumor is true, Christine may be wise to nip this new comradery in the bud!

Prior to Paul and Lauren’s meet-up, he and Christine had a disagreement about his plans for cop Dylan MacAvoy (Steve Burton). Paul thinks his son is ready for a risky assignment, but Christine disagreed.
If this wild rumor is true Paul and Lauren will soon turn to each other for comfort, instead of their spouses, as their lives go south.
In addition to Lauren’s Fenmore troubles, her cantankerous mother-in-law Gloria (Judith Chapman),is in town, causing added tension at home.
Paul has a soft spot for women in trouble, and Lauren has a soft spot for men in general! Remember when she turned to the hunky young bartender Marco for comfort, and broke Michael’s heart?

Yes here Y&R goes again. Bring someone new on for Paul, get rid of Christine for good. Leave Lauren n Michael along, they could have problems in their relationship just not with another affair. They both are very successful people, I like that Y&R has a storyline going about Lauren’s businesses struggles n if Dylan is killed off than Y&R could have a murder mystery n will need a lawyer like Michael. Why don’t Y&R interview James Scott from DOOL for the role of Adam?
Leave lauren and Michael alone.
