‘The Young and The Restless’ POLL: Who Would Be The Best Dad For Bella – Billy or Kevin? VOTE!

Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) deeply debatable qualifications as a mother aren’t the focus of this ‘The Young and the Restless’ feature. Instead, the question is whether Billy (Jason Thompson), or Kevin (Greg Rikaart), would be the best dad for Bella (Cali May Kinder)? As the paternity of her father remains unknown, this point is surely worth exploring.

Billy’s many self-inflicted wounds are obvious. He’s lived as a gambler, drinker, carouser and all-around lout on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He’s been reckless with Jabot business matters and created countless problems for family and friends over time. This year he’s made a full-out play for his brother’s wife, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). And, as all fans of Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) mansion know too well, Billy drastically changed that classic beloved interior.

The previous paragraph was nothing short of an indictment. However, in an attempt to be fair, Billy did suffer the loss of a child. That specific incident would destroy most individuals. In this instance, through the interpretations of four separate actors, Billy has survived. That counts and offers hope for deeper redemption.

Kevin has often been limited to one female option. However, he current has two ladies who want to share their lives with him. Natalie (Mara McCaffray) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) are strong women in their own right. The fact that Kevin’s aura has attracted these solid options underscores this character’s evolution.

Consider how Kevin stepped up when Delia (Sophie Pollono) was alive. She wasn’t his biological responsibility, yet he truly loved and cared for Chloe’s little girl. Yes, he did veer toward criminal behavior, at times, while he was connected to her mother. But, it’s reasonable to spread responsibility for various misdeeds on both sides when that adult equation is concerned. Kevin’s current professional position with the Genoa City Police Department also serves the better public good.

The past is never gone, as remnants of all actions affect the present in certain forms. So, each character’s travails and victories can’t be discounted. At this moment, plot points haven’t confirmed who’s genetically linked to Bella. So, the question posed to fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ is: Who would be the best dad for Bella – Billy or Kevin?? Vote in our poll below!
