First, we have Sharon (Sharon Case). She’s been keeping a huge secret from Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Dylan (Steve Burton). Only Sharon and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) know that Sully is actually Christian. Many “Young and the Restless” fans aren’t pleased that Sharon has kept her mouth shut for so long.
Sharon has been watching Nick struggle with his grief over Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) sudden demise. If Sharon had come clean about Christian, it might’ve provided some comfort during this difficult time. Nick has really had it rough, but Sharon chose to keep this consolation from him.
We can understand why Sharon would be attached the baby Dr. Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush) gave her. No one can blame Sharon for that. However, Sharon and Nick probably could’ve worked out a custody agreement. Sage is gone and this child still needs a mother. There was no reason for Sharon to clam up.
Sharon doesn’t know it yet, but she’s also keeping important information from Adam (Justin Hartley). Christian is actually Adam’s son, not Nick’s. This is sure to be a big mess down the road, but let’s consider another bomb that’s about to drop. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) affair is going to tear Jack (Peter Bergman) apart.
Of course, it takes two to tango. Billy served as half of this forbidden duo, but Phyllis is the one who broke her marriage vows. Phyllis eventually backed off, but that’s only because of Jill (Jess Walton). Before that, Phyllis simply couldn’t resist Billy. If he was around, you could always expect steaminess.
Phyllis has been through a lot thanks to Victor (Eric Braeden) and the Marco (Peter Bergman) swap. Does that excuse her behavior? No, but at least it gives us some insight into why Phyllis drifted from Jack. Phyllis lost her way and she probably hates the person she’s become.
Speaking of hatred, Hilary (Mishael Morgan) has certainly been loathed around town recently. She was blackmailing anyone and everyone for a while. Hilary faced major backlash for it, but she doesn’t seem sorry about what she did.
Dr. Neville (Michael E. Knight) was forced to take the blame after Hilary bribed the lab tech. Hilary also made plenty of moves on Jack. Now she’s back with Devon (Bryton James) and she’s finally settling down. Hilary was struggling with a relapse throughout much of her appalling phase. Perhaps we should take that into account, but we can’t let her completely slide!
Sharon, Phyllis and Hilary have all done some horrible things over the past few months, but did one of these women go too far? Which “Young and the Restless” character is the absolute worst?
