“The Young and the Restless” has had one heck of a year in 2015. Betrayal, secrets, and Victor’s [Eric Braeden] shenanigans have all been part of the storylines of the year. Victor proved that he could be more evil and sadistic than ever before. Nick [Joshua Morrow] fell in love again, after his disaster of a reunion with Sharon [Sharon Case]. Soap Opera Spy picked 20 of our favorite moments of the year, and want our followers to tell us which ones are your preferred moments.
- Maureen [Meredith Baxter] disappeared and has not been mentioned again. Occasionally, it is speculated; she could return. For the most part, she has been forgotten.
- Courtney [Kelli Goss] and Austin’s [Matthew Atkins] death was a central part of the show for most of the year. The cabin murderer exposed Det. Harding [Chris McKenna] as being a bad cop.
- The plane scene when Neil [Kristoff St. John] revealed that he could see. He also revealed that he started drinking again.
- After the plane went down in the middle of nowhere, Lily [Christel Khalil] was nowhere to be found. Her family scrambled to find her; and after finding her, they banded together to survive the cold.
- Devon [Bryton James] and Neil struggled to piece their relationship together after it came out that Devon was sleeping with Neil’s wife.
- Victor hired a doppelganger to impersonate Jack [ Peter Bergman], fooling his family.
- Marco, the doppelganger killed Austin and Courtney in the Abbott cabin.
- Adam [Justin Hartley] returned, and began to target his old man, Victor. He was determined to bring Newman Enterprises to its knees.
- The Underground collapsed, and Victor saved Jack after he stopped breathing. They [Jack and Victor] vowed to be kinder to each other. The pact lasted about a week.
- Adam saved Billy [Burgess Jenkins] and son Connor after the penthouse catching on fire.
- Ian Ward [Ray Wise] returned with a vendetta to settle with Victor Newman. He used Adam’s hatred for his dad to benefit his end game.
- Marco, the doppelganger of Jack’s, was sent back to the Peruvian prison with an ear missing after an epic showdown with Victor, Jack, Marisa [Sofia Pernas], and Phyllis [Gina Tognoni].
- Michael Baldwin [Christian LeBlanc] battled cancer, and excluded wife, Lauren [Tracey E. Bregman] from his treatments. It led to Lauren finding comfort in the arms of Cane Ashby [Daniel Goddard].
- Cane and Lily had a rough year. Cane was implicated in sleeping with Lauren [although he never did], and Lily retaliated by sleeping with Joe Clark [Scott Elrod].
- Hilary [Mishael Morgan] and Devon married, and Neil followed them on the honeymoon. Neil confronted Hilary with a video of Devon cheating on her while she was hiking in the mountains. She fell off the cliff, and became gravely injured. Neil kidnapped her to nurse her back to health. Even now, Hilary denies her love for Devon and professes she loves Neil, again. It’s a complicated storyline.
- Nick meets Sage [Kelly Sullivan] and marries her. She becomes pregnant with a baby boy, and delivers early. He appeared to have died, but a doctor gave the child to Sharon, and convinced her she delivered the child while in the mental hospital.
- Nick and Sage separated because they are having trouble grieving for their infant together. Little do they know; their child is alive, and they will soon be reunited with him.
- Chelsea [Melissa Claire Egan] was ousted as a slut at her ‘wedding’ to Billy. He told all the guests she slept with Gabriel Bingham [Justin Hartley], which was really her husband, Adam Newman.
- Det. Harding was revealed as the cabin killer. Paul was forced into killing him when he almost shot Dylan [Steve Burton].
- Nick was devastated after it was revealed that Sharon changed Summer’s [Hunter King] paternity result. He decided to sue her for custody of Faith, and won. Eventually, he cooled off and agreed to share custody of Faith with her.
