‘The Young and the Restless’ POLL: Should Kevin and Mariah Reunite or Stick to Friendship? VOTE!

“The Young and the Restless” viewers know that Kevin (Greg Rikaart) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) have a complex relationship. Their friendship grew into something more, but things didn’t quite turn out like they expected. Mariah and Kevin’s awkward sex session quickly put the brakes on their romance.

Fortunately, they decided to remain friends after their failed encounter. Kevin and Mariah continue to rely on each other for support. However, it’s clear that they aren’t really on the same page anymore.

Kevin apparently had no problem moving on. He became interested in Natalie (Mara McCaffray) and now Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is seemingly the girl of his dreams. Kevin even recruited Mariah to help him win Chloe back.

Of course, that was an unpleasant task for Mariah. She’s been harboring deep feelings for Kevin since their breakup on “The Young and the Restless.” Mariah wants to reunite with Kevin, but she’s afraid of rejection. Who could blame her? Mariah must feel pretty undesirable in light of the way everything went down.

Kevin wanted to call it quits after one night in the bedroom with Mariah, but he’s falling all over other women these days. Nevertheless, maybe Kevin and Mariah should give it another shot. Perhaps nerves got the best of them that evening. Mariah and Kevin’s friendship may have made it difficult to connect romantically.

There’s also a chance that they were simply trying too hard. Kevin and Mariah shouldn’t have forced something they weren’t ready for. There’s no shame in taking baby steps in a relationship. If they choose to give it a second attempt, they could move slowly and possibly find love after all.

Many “Young and the Restless” fans would enjoy seeing Mariah and Kevin as a pairing again. They’re both quirky characters and they just seem like a good match. On the other hand, revisiting love comes with some risks.

What if this Y&R reunion ends in disaster? Mariah might be dreaming of something that just can’t work. If there’s no real connection between them, Kevin may not be interested. If he dumps Mariah due to lack of attraction, it could completely destroy their friendship. We certainly don’t want to see these besties drift apart permanently.

Still, it might be worth the risk if they have the opportunity to capture something special. What do you think about Kevin and Mariah as a couple?
