‘The Young and the Restless’’ POLL: Is Victor Just as Guilty as Chloe in the Death of Adam? Vote in Our Y&R Poll!

“The Young and the Restless” viewers know that Adam (Justin Hartley) is presumed dead after a shocking explosion. Of course, you can never predict how long a death will stick on a soap. It’s possible that Adam is still out there somewhere, but his loved ones will have to deal with their loss for now.

With that in mind, we have to think about who’s really responsible for this horrific ordeal. Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) husband is gone and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) has been left without a father. Naturally, many Y&R watchers are pointing the finger straight at Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson).

There’s no doubt that Chloe’s actions were cruel and excessive. Everyone can understand that Chloe faced intense heartache after Delia’s (Sophie Pollono) death, but should that really be an excuse forever? It’s been years and Chloe’s bitterness remains. Seeking vengeance for an accident doesn’t achieve justice.

Still, “The Young and the Restless” fans can’t forget about Chloe’s partner in crime. Victor (Eric Braeden) is the one who put everything in motion. His revenge scheme never made much sense anyway.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) betrayed Victor, too. How come they weren’t framed for murder? Why was Adam the only one who had to endure such intense suffering for his disloyalty?

Victor wanted to gain the upper hand and force Adam to work with him, but there was surely another way to achieve that goal. Unfortunately, Victor picked a terrible strategy and the world’s worst accomplice. He should’ve just gone with an impartial minion instead of someone who was so committed to bringing Adam down.

Better yet, how about just dropping the idea altogether? You can bet that Victor wishes he’d done that now. Once Victor’s plot got away from him, at least he could’ve warned Adam about the nutcase’s continued vendetta. Victor also should’ve been keeping tabs on Chloe and the cabin until Adam could be transported elsewhere.

Bottom line, Victor got sloppy with this scheme and he’s definitely paying the price. He’s normally meticulous about all of his plots, but this plan went south pretty fast. “The Young and the Restless” rumors hint that Victor will do his best to avenge his son’s death, but that doesn’t change what he did.

Does Victor deserve the guilt he’s feeling right now? Is he just as responsible as his crazy partner, Chloe? We’ll give you updates as more news emerges on this storyline.
