‘Young and the Restless’ (YR) spoilers have revealed that Sharon Newman McAvoy [Sharon Case] is at the center of all the heartache in Nick Newman’s [Joshua Morrow] and Dylan McAvoy’s [Steve Burton] lives. Are Sharon’s never-ending lies the reason for all the bad things that have happened?
If Y&R fans look back to Nick and Sharon’s almost wedding on Halloween 2014 they’ll find that’s where Sharon’s downward spiral that caused this latest round of pain began. Sharon had switched Summer Newman’s [Hunter King] paternity results to show that Jack Abbott [Peter Bergmann] was her father.
Nick had constantly professed his love for Sharon and told her that there was nothing she could do that would make him stop loving her. Sharon’s world came crashing down, again, when it was revealed she had tampered with Summer’s DNA tests results. That was the last straw for Nick and he stormed out, leaving Sharon at the altar.
Young and the Restless spoilers remind us that Nick made Sharon’s life even more miserable when he pursued, and won, full custody of Faith Newman [Alyvia Alyn Lind]. Nick turned to Sage Warner – later to become his wife Sage Newman [Kelly Sullivan]. Sharon turned to Dylan because when has Sharon ever been able to cope with life without a man by her side?
Sage had a quick fling with Adam Newman [Justin Hartley] but Nick was the man she truly wanted. Surprise, surprise! Sage discovered she was pregnant and Nick was thrilled about being a father again. Sharon also became pregnant by Dylan but sadly miscarried. Sharon kept up the charade of a pregnancy to keep Dylan who became yet another victim of Sharon’s deceit.
Sharon tried to keep her miscarriage a secret and things got out of hand and Sharon ended up back in the psychiatric hospital where she met Patty Williams [Stacy Haiduk] and was treated by Dr. Sandy Anderson [Elizabeth Bogus]. Y&R spoilers soon revealed that Dr. Anderson’s agenda was to hurt Nick.
Sage gave birth to Christian and had the perfect family she always wanted. Unfortunately, that happily-ever-after soon ended. Dr. Anderson had colluded with a nurse at the hospital, Christian was kidnapped. Dr. Anderson passed Christian off as Sharon’s baby and she and Dylan named him Sully.
Eventually, Sage figured everything out and confronted Sharon whose fuzzy memories of giving birth to Sully started to become clearer. Sage stormed out of Sharon’s home and headed off to tell Nick the truth. Sage met an untimely death in a car crash. Sharon’s lies claim another victim.
Nick was left a widower and a father mourning the ‘death’ of his child. Sharon knew that Sully was Christian but she kept that information from Nick. Sharon got to keep her happy family while Nick’s life was miserable.
The Young and the Restless spoilers finally gave fans the big Sully/Christian reveal when Patty told everyone the truth about Sully/Christian. A furious Nick stormed over to Sharon’s home and devastated Dylan by taking Christian away. It was Sharon’s lies that truly hurt both men.
Faith has been traumatized by the news that though Sully/Christian is her brother Sharon isn’t his mother. Faith is also devastated that Sharon lied about it for so long. How can Faith ever trust Sharon again?
The fallout from Sharon’s lies will continue. Sage is dead and Christian will never know his mother. Adding to Nick’s heartache? Christian is Adam’s son. What happens when Faith find out that Christian isn’t her brother but her cousin?
Are Sharon’s lies to blame for Sage’s death? Is Sharon completely to blame for all the pain and suffering Nick and Dylan are going through?
