‘The Young and the Restless’ Poll: Is Max Pure Evil or Is He Just Acting Out? VOTE!

“The Young and the Restless” viewers recently watched as Abby (Melissa Ordway) tripped down the stairs and lost her baby. Of course, the miscarriage wasn’t the most shocking part of this storyline. It was the fact that Abby’s stepson, Max (Jared Breeze), orchestrated the “accident.”

It’s no secret that Max is a problem child. He’s caused trouble for Stitch (Sean Carrigan) and Abby from day one. However, Max’s previous offenses were relatively minor. He ran off a couple of times, got in fights at school and talked Charlie (Aidan Clark) into pulling a fire alarm. That’s not exactly good behavior, but it was still within the realm of acceptable childhood mischief.

All it took was some tape and a little fishing line to take Max from a disobedient brat to a full-blown baby killer. He’s likely old enough to understand the magnitude of what he’s done, but so far he’s shown no remorse. Max even cracked a slight smile at his handiwork while Abby writhed on the floor in pain. It almost makes you wonder if this kid is a mini psychopath.

Granted, Max has been through a lot over the past few months. His mother died and he was sent to live with a father he doesn’t really know. Max also blames Abby for his mom’s death. That’s made the transition more difficult. No one was surprised that Max was acting out during this adjustment period.

Nevertheless, “The Young and the Restless” has taken Max’s mean streak to another level. His scheme endangered Abby’s life and resulted in the death of her baby. Is Max just pure evil at this point? Once Stitch learns the truth, he’s going to have a tough time deciding what happens next.

Whether Max ends up in a juvenile detention center or a psychiatric facility, something needs to be done. We want to know what you think about the dark turn this character has taken.
