‘The Young And The Restless’ News: ‘Y&R’ Celebrates 11,000 Episodes With New Cast Photo, Jeanne Cooper Tribute, And Exciting Summer Returns

‘The Young and the Restless’ is gearing up to celebrate another milestone – its 11,000th episode! People Magazine reports that the CBS soap opera that is now more than 43 years old will celebrate its 11000th episode on September 1st. Along with the celebration the soap opera has updated and released a new cast photo.

The viewers are very excited about this and anticipating seeing the storyline that comes along with this milestone. Not only are the viewers excited but so are the stars who took to twitter to wish ‘The Young and the Restless’ a happy milestone.

Melissa Claire Egan who plays Chelsea Newman shared “Happy 11,000th episode, The Young & the Restless! Love being a part of this show.” While co-star Jason Thompson shared “11,000 episodes for@YandR_CBS An honor to share but a sliver of the pie. A class photo to boot! to the fans that support daytime television. @youngandrestlesscbs”. These are just to name a few of the stars who have been wishing their show a happy milestone.

A part from that, a lot of things are happening leading up to the show’s milestone including fan favorite returns and hot storylines. For one; Tristan Rogers and Michael Graziadei are both set to reprise their Genoa City roles as Colin Atkinson and Daniel Romalotti respectively. And, viewers will not want to miss the July 25th episode which is a special one that features Katherine Chancellor, played by the late Jeanne Cooper.

Also, Phyllis’ [Gina Tognoni] life will have more trouble than anyone else when her affair with her husband’s brother is revealed.
