‘The Young And The Restless’ News: ‘Y&R’ Casting Two New Characters – Lucinda And Ellis, Who Are They Related To?

‘The Young & the Restless’ spoilers reveal that yet another set of new faces are coming to Genoa City. Soap Opera Digest reports that the CBS number one soap opera is looking to introduce two new characters in the coming month or so.

According to the report posted today, one of the roles they seek to fill is that of Lucinda. She is described in the release as “an African-American woman in her late 60s/early 70s who is looking to make peace with her past”.

So who could Lucinda be? Does she have any ties to anyone in Genoa City? And what does her past involve that she seeks to make peace with it? Obviously, something bad took place in her past but what is it?

The next role that ‘The Young and the Restless’ is seeking to fill is the role of Ellis. He too, is described as an African-American also in his late 60s, early 70s. He “has drifted away from his family and is hoping to right the wrongs of the past.”

These two seem to be connected, possibly husband and wife or just romantically involved. So what does their past entail that they both seem to want to deal with it. One seeks to make peace with it while the other seeks to right the wrongs of it.

The report posted by SOD was pretty brief and did not indicate whether the roles were contract, short term or recurring. However, it does indicate that they both are expected to start filming in July. Although there is no official air date, it is expected that they will debut later this year.
