‘The Young and The Restless’ News: Y&R Alum Chris McKenna Joins Grimm

‘The Young and the Restless’ alum Chris McKenna keeps getting busy and busier. Just couple days after he announced he was filming episodes for the CBS sitcom ‘Mom’, he now announces his next big gig – a role on NBC’s ‘Grimm’.

First teasing fans with a tweet that had limited information he came back with more details. “In other news, it appears I’ll be returning to NBC. Details to come…” he first tweeted later revealing his next project. “Very excited to be joining the cast of @NBCGrimm More details as I get em!” he tweeted as additional information.

Details of this new project are very limited at the moment, but as McKenna shared via Twitter he will release more details as he gets them. So far no character name, no air date, nor how long he will be a part of the series or additional information is known.

The news of him landed a role on the NBC serial comes shortly after he was reportedly filming scenes for the upcoming season of CBS’ ‘Mom’. He will apparently be filming for the sitcom for this week.

Fans are very happy with this news, obviously because they can’t get enough of the actor. ‘The Young and the Restless’ fans miss him like crazy after his character Detective Harding was killed off at the end of the serial killer storyline.

Most recently he made an appearance in March of this year on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ as Dr. Hayden. While several viewers were led to believe this would be a long term role, we have not seen his character since his one-day appearance back in March.

With that said, he’s very established covering appearances in a number of CBS shows but his next gig will be on NBC and fans can rely on Soap Opera Spy to keep you updated as the information becomes available.
