‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) news revealed that Aidan Clark’s last appearance on screen as Charlie Ashby, was on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2016. Initially there was no reason given as to why the young man was leaving, but Aidan revealed through a tweet on the 23rd that he is leaving the role because his family is relocating to Hawaii. As Y&R fans know, CBS doesn’t comment on contracts or recasts, but as it stands, there is no word on recasting.

For those of you who do not know who Aidan Clark is or much about the role he played. He is one of a set of twins that are the children of Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). His role was Charles “Charlie” Ethan Ashby and his twin sister’s name is Matilda “Mattie” Colleen Ashby (McKenna Roberts). For such young stars, they played pivotal roles and were able to hold their own with much bigger names on the show.
Fans of Y&R back then, knew that Lily was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to carry her own children, so her best friend Mackenzie Browning – Helstrom (Clementine Ford) became a surrogate mother to the twins so Lily could have the family she always wanted. Aidan Clark took on the role of Charlie in 2013, and certainly won over our hearts with his kindness and adorable features.
