‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Terrell Tilford Returns To ‘Y&R’ As Dr. Shelby

‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease that Terrell Tilford is returning as Dr. Barton Shelby on July 21. The return was reported by Soap Opera Digest, the magazine disclosed that the actor who played Leslie’s [Angell Conwell] husband will make a return next month.

Dr. Barton Shelby was last seen a couple months ago, so it will definitely be good to see him again. The character first showed up in Genoa City on June 13, 2014 when he was introduced as the husband Leslie Michaelson found online.

This took place after Leslie, who was involved with Neil [Kristoff St. John], broke off her engagement to him. Later Leslie revealed that she and Dr. Shelby met on a dating website and tied the knot.

Dr. Shelby first showed up as a surgeon at the Genoa City Memorial Hospital. Since then he has performed well as a doctor while his wife remains a resident lawyer in GC. Tilford joined the cast on a recurring basis in 2014 and remains on a recurring status. So when we see Dr. Shelby on July 21, how long will he be around for?

One can only assume this will be just for a couple episodes before the character disappears again. But, is there someone in GC who will be in need of medical attention, a significant character possibly? When Shelby returns will his wife be around too?

Tilford is known across the daytime genre for playing several soap opera roles. His roles on daytime shows were all recurring and they include; Dr. Bob Carrington on ‘Days of Our Lives’, Greg Evans on ‘One Life to Live’ and David Grant on ‘The Guiding Light’. He also had roles on several primetime series including; Half & Half, All of Us, Shark, Lincoln Heights, CSI: NY, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Switched at Birth, Bones and The DL Chronicles just to name a few.
