‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Michael Muhney Opens Up About Recent Cancer Scare

‘The Young and the Restless’ alum Michael Muhney [Ex-Adam Newman] recently underwent surgery after a cancer scare. The surgery was done to remove skin cancer from his face and he tweeted about it. “Wear your sunscreen kids. #NoSkinCancer had surgery today. 10 stitches. Yikes,” as he shared images on his face with the bandages and also without.

This is not long after his recent accident this year. Earlier this year in April, we reported of Muhney having an accident in a bike race and hence sustained injuries to his body. For that same reason he had to go to the hospital and spent some time recovering. Now only a couple months after the former Y&R actor had a cancer scare and had to be back in the hospital which resulted in him wearing bandages and receiving ten stitches.

His tweet suggested that we as humans wear our sunscreen; he is simply raising awareness about the issue. We here at Soap Opera Spy are glad that he is okay and we wish him a speedy recovery.

Muhney is well known for his role on the CBS soap opera ‘The Young and the Restless’. He is known for playing the role of Adam Newman, one he played from 2009 – 2014. With Justin Hartley now out of the role and focusing on his new primetime series ‘This Is Us,’ fans have been suggesting that Muhney return to the CBS daytime sudser. A part from Muhney’s time on Y&R he is also known for playing roles on primetime serials and some Television movies.
