‘The Young and the Restless’ Melissa Claire Egan [Chelsea Newman] welcomed Chrishell Strause to ‘Y&R.’ Watch the way Melissa greeted on-screen hubby Adam Newman’s [Justin Hartley] real life girlfriend to the set!
Melissa shared the quick clip with Instagram followers, saying, “I’m very nurturing. Welcome to #YR @chrishell7.” Chrishell also posted the video with the caption, “Lots of friendly familiar faces here at #YR!”
In the video clip Chrishell is standing by a door with a sign that says, “‘The Young and the Restless’. CLOSED SET. CAST AND CREW ONLY BEYOND THIS POINT. Thank you.” The door leads to Studio 43 but we’re not certain which set that is on the daytime drama.

Holding a script and looking frustrated and confused, Chrishell finally sees a friendly and familiar face. Or so she thinks. “Missy, can you tell me where the GCAC is?” But Melissa isn’t having any of it, she’s not helping the new girl. “Don’t talk to me. Don’t look me in the eye,” Melissa says and huffs off. Now even more frustrated and confused Chrishell says, “You know me!”
It was announced on April 20 that Chrishell Strause had joined the cast of ‘The Young and the Restless’ as Bethany Bryant. The character is described as “a young woman who relishes the chance to push things to the limit and live dangerously as long as she’s not the one who gets burned. The wild child will find herself immersed in a prominent family’s juicy drama.”

Chrishell took to Instagram shortly after the announcement was made to clue viewers in who hadn’t heard the news yet. “Excited to head to work today!” ‘Y&R’ fans are just as excited to see what kind of trouble Bethany will bring to Genoa City.
