‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Jason Thompson And Gina Tognoni Discuss Filming Billy And Phyllis’ Love Scenes On ‘Y&R’

Yes! Yes! Yes! Finally Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) have begun their sordid affair on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Have you been waiting patiently for Phyllis and Billy to cross that line? There isn’t anything worse in a family than an affair, especially when it’s between your brother and your wife. Jack (Peter Bergman) better go buy some packs of tissue, because he’s going to be weeping like a baby when he discovers their betrayal.

Darn it!  We can’t deny the blazing chemistry these two actors share, but this affair is a big NO! Jack’s gonna be hurt badly.   While we are enthralled by this bitter sweet moment, Entertainment Tonight had the utmost pleasure of going behind the scenes for one of daytime’s most sordid affairs. It may seem like a whole lot of fun, but it’s not as easy as you think, Jason Thompson and Gina Tognoni explained to ET.

Thompson noted “They might do an insert of the belt coming off or the zipper things like that, but 95 percent of what you see is like one take.” This basically suggests that they only get one chance to get those scenes right and move along.

While the finished product of these steamy sex scenes might be fun for us to watch, the rehearsals for the actors are quite technical. Owen Renfroe, a director shared with ET, “Sometimes you see some parts you shouldn’t,” and adding, “That’s rare but that happens. And of course we close the set, and we black out the monitors to anyone else who may be watching on the set or anywhere else, so the actors are comfortable.”
