‘The Young And The Restless‘ star Justin Hartley has landed a role in the new NBC primetime drama ‘This Is Us.’ And, now we have the first official look at the new dramedy – which will be premiering Fall 2016. It looks amazing!
‘This Is Us‘ follows the lives of a group of random strangers who all share the same birthday, and of course their lives intertwine at various times. ‘Y&R’ star Justin Hartley will be playing the part of Kevin, a handsome TV actor and single bachelor. It looks like Justin’s character Kevin will be going through a bit of a midlife crisis, in the promo video you can see him quitting his job. The director tells Kevin to “say the line or find another job” and he chooses the latter.

There’s also another clip in the ‘This Is Us’ promo video which features Justin’s character Kevin celebrating his 36th birthday, while he seems to be deeply pondering his new age, two random girls dance in front of him half-naked. It’s safe to say Hartley’s new character on the NBC primetime drama is nothing like his ‘The Young And The Restless’ character Adam Newman now (maybe Adam Newman 5 years ago though).

‘Y&R’ fans are concerned that Justin Hartley’s new primetime gig could mean that he is leaving the CBS soap. So far no one from ‘The Young And The Restless‘ has confirmed or denied the rumors. But, it is very possible for Justin Hartley to keep doing both if he chooses, with some creative scheduling of course, and a little bit less screen time in Genoa City than usual.
