‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Chuck Pratt OUT – No Longer Head-Writer At ‘Y&R’

‘The Young And The Restless’ spoilers are teasing that Chuck Pratt Jr. is officially OUT at the CBS soap opera, and will no longer be serving as the headwriter at ‘Y&R.’  Rumors have been floating around for quite a while that Pratt was on his way out, but TV Line has officially confirmed the news.

According to a report from TV Line, Chuck Pratt has joined the team of the new primetime drama ‘Star,’ from ‘Empire’ creator Lee Daniels.  TV Line revealed, “Chuck Pratt Jr., who most recently served as headwriter on CBS’ The Young and the Restless, has been named showrunner and executive producer of the upcoming Fox series, filling the void left by departing producer-writer Charles Murray.”

It’s no secret that there were some disgruntled ‘The Young And The Restless’ fans, and some of the storylines were not going over well with the CBS drama’s audience.  After Mal Young was brought in to take over for Jill Farren Phelps, rumors were floating around that Chuck Pratt would be the next one sent packing.  It’s unclear as of right now if Pratt left ‘Y&R‘ to work on ‘Star,‘ or if Pratt was fired from the soap opera and then found a new job at FOX.
