‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Cady McClain Teases Upcoming Film, And More Exciting Projects!

Former ‘The Young and the Restless’ star Cady McClain (Ex-Kelly Andrews) shared a message recently via her Facebook and Twitter profile alerting fans that she is hard at work on a new film about women directors. McClain created a Facebook page called Seeing is Believing: Women in the Directing Field where she shares details of this upcoming film.

“So much I want to share with you, but it’s going to have to wait. Working hard on this film I am making, a doc about women directors. I’ve really made some great strides, really happy about that, but damn, it is the hardest thing I have ever done. Emotionally, physically, spiritually, and creatively. But I guess that’s the way it goes. Keep me in your prayers, will ya?  ‪#‎WomenDirect”

According to The aforementioned Facebook page which began in 2015, the page contains details of the process of making the upcoming documentary about women who direct. McClain in the page’s description declared that she is interviewing women who worked or are still working on television, theater, and film. McClain also shared that as she is working on this project she continuously discovers interesting interviews that she is anxious to share with everyone. Among the list of women interviewed by McClain thus far are; Kimberly Pierce, Joanna Kerns, Diana Cignoni, Sydney Freeland and others.

McClain had the opportune privilege of playing a few daytime roles which include; Rosanna Cabot on ‘As the World Turns’, Dixie Cooney Martin on ‘All My Children’ and Kelly Andrews on ‘The Young and The Restless’. Several fans were sad upon her exit from Y&R, but ever since the cancellation of AMC McClain has been working hard on her own projects.

Also in per post McClain disclosed that there is so much she wants to share with everyone but it will have to wait. Fans are speculating on social media that the news she wants to share could possibly be that she has been hired by another soap opera or possibly reprising the role on Y&R.
