‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Burgess Jenkins Starring In New Movie ‘The Reason’

After nearly two years in the role, Burgess Jenkins ended his run earlier this year as ‘The Young and the Restless’ and Billy Abbott. Burgess was the fifth actor to play the role of Billy Abbott. Jenkins’ character had just dealt with facing off with Adam (Justin Hartley) after it was revealed that Gabriel Bingham was in fact Adam Newman. Upon his character being beaten, hit by a car and left for dead, Burgess last aired as Billy in January of this year.

Fans have been wondering what’s next for the actor ever since his exit, but he tweeted yesterday a photo to let his fans know of a project he just finished working on. In his tweet he stated “That’s a wrap on day one of a fantastic new project #TheReasonMovie @RealFreiburger @alanpowell10.”

Jenkins’ tweet received several responses from his fans letting him know how much they miss him on ‘The Young and the Restless’ and congratulating him on completing filming for his newest project. The show is said to be about an ambitious high school track star who inspires a troubled teen to change his life for the better. There are no further details as to Jenkins’ character name or the role he will play. No details yet on when the film will be released but we know that the filming was not too long ago.
