“The Young and the Restless” alum McKenna Grace [Faith Newman] has been cast as Daisy in the summer 2016 blockbuster “Independence Day: Resurgence.” The film also stars Liam Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum.
“Independence Day: Resurgence” picks up two decades after “Independence Day” – Earth is facing an extra solar threat. If you’re expecting any comedy in this movie, think again. Scheduled for release on June, 24, 2016, this film is full of action and drama.
“Y&R” fans may have wondered what the former Faith Newman has been up to these days. McKenna has been busy not only working with “Hunger Games” hunk Liam Hemsworth, but on a number of television and movie projects.
Expect to see McKenna as Avery on the television series “Teachers.” The series premieres Wednesday, January 13. It can be seen on TVLand or Amazon Prime subscribers can watch “Teachers” as part of their subscription.
There are several movies in which “The Young and the Restless” fans can find McKenna Grace. It has been announced that the pint-sized actress has been cast as a Young Stacy in the “The Long Run.” She is currently filming “Gifted” in which McKenna portrays Mary Adler.
If that weren’t enough to keep the young lady busy, McKenna has completed filming on “Amityville: The Awakening“ as Juliet, “Henry Joseph Church” as Izzy and “The Deadliest Gun” as Abby Van Ness! And one more – the short film “The Pearl Whale.”
While “The Young and the Restless” fans miss McKenna Grace it’s very nice to see that the young actress has a burgeoning film career. The current Faith Newman, Alyvia Alyn Lind, has also been busy at work with outside projects. This makes “Y&R” fans wonder if Faith will be a casualty of SORAS – Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome!
