‘The Young And The Restless’ News: Abhi Sinha Joins Y&R Cast As Ravi

According to the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Actor Abhi Sinha has been cast as a new character by the name of Ravi Shapur. This new character is said to enter the show as being a new employee for one of Genoa City’s most successful companies.

With all the chaos going down between the two current rivals on ‘Young and the Restless”, Victor Newman ( Eric Braden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) no doubt, Ravi will somehow tie into the current storyline somehow. We know that Jack has a vendetta against Victor as he holds him responsible for the state of his marriage.

In the recent weeks, Y&R viewers have seen a shift in Jack’s behavior and of course, Jack has made no secret in public retaliation against Victor Newman for what went down involving his wife, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni).  There is no word yet on whether this new character is a good guy or a bad guy. Could Ravi be working for Victor or perhaps Jack?

Of course, this is pure speculation for now, but it certainly wouldn’t be completely out of the realm for either Jack or Victor to hire some new guy and plot each other’s financial ruins.  Then again, there could be other possibilities. Ravi could be a new employee on the surface and could be a computer geek which could inevitably be used to look into computer records, emails, and so much more.

Just how far would Victor Newman or Jack Abbott go to bring the other down?  It is being said that Ravi will contribute in a big way. Abhi Sinha’s first airdate as Ravi Shapur,  is said to starting on Monday, December the 12^th.
