‘The Young And The Restless’ News: 5 ‘Y&R’ Characters We Want To Return

In daytime characters come and characters go but there are just some fans are not willing to let go of. Over the years on ‘The Young and the Restless’, we’ve met some characters who we reflect on and recall as very outstanding. Here, we have compiled a list of 5 characters who are no longer on the soap canvas that we would love to see return.  Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments below!

Grace Turner

The role was originated by Josie Davis in 1996 but it became most recognize with Jennifer Gareis in the role. Since Gareis is currently recurring on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ and it’s been over a year since we last saw her as Donna Logan a return to Y&R could work. Grace being first introduced as Sharon’s [Sharon Case] best friend was tied into a major story with Sharon, Nick [Joshua Morrow] and the now deceased Cassie [Camryn Grimes]. Last time Grace showed up in Genoa City in 2014 she was flirting with Nick. Gareis’ return received positive feedback which leaves us wondering why the show didn’t request a full time return from the actress. Nick is now single since Sage’s [Ex-Kelly Sullivan] death and his former lover Sharon is married to someone else, wouldn’t you like to see Grace come back and be paired with Nick?

J. T Hellstrom

Relatively new viewers of the CBS soap opera may not known J.T. The role was played by Thad Luckinbill from 1999 – 2010. Back in his days he was a fan favorite which some fans are still craving to see return. His most significant pairing throughout his run was with Victoria Newman [Amelia Heinle]. They were even married and a lot of fans were shipping their pairing. With Billy [Jason Thompson] falling deeply for Phyllis [Gina Tognoni] and it seems the marriage between Phyllis and Jack [Peter Bergman] will soon be in trouble, J.T is the best man for Victoria right now. We know they are trying so hard to work the Travis [Michael Roark] and Victoria pairing but we think J.T would be much better, what do you think fans?

Gloria Bardwell

Mrs. Bardwell is very needed in Genoa City right now. Well, not just for her comedic characteristic but so much more. It is always fun to see Judith Chapman in the role and we are dying to see her return. Chapman herself described her character as not a malicious person. We agree Gloria is just that character you love seeing, though she gets very depressed at times she rises right back up. Fans would have loved to see her cross over to B&B and be paired with Eric Forrester [John McCook] but we would rather see her return and shake up GC, do you agree?

Avery Bailey-Clarke

What best lawyer to return than that of Avery Bailey Clarke in the form of Jessica Collins. Collins may be very busy now taking care of young baby but she brought so much fire to this role. It is no doubt the reason so many fans were disappointed when it was announced she was exiting the series. Collins work was so good viewers still talk about it, surely there must be something Y&R could do to get this talented lady back. Wouldn’t you love to Avery return fans?

Amber Moore

She spent many years in LA and many in Genoa City but we are certainly craving a GC return. Adrienne Frantz originated the role and her time in GC brought about romantic pairings with Cane [Daniel Goddard] and Daniel Romalatti [Michael Graziadei]. Her last appearance happened in 2013 and it has been 3 years since. Amber’s presence in GC could do so much, it spells trouble for Cane and Lily [Christel Khalil] and we would love to see Amber and Lily go head to head for Cane’s heart.
