‘The Young And The Restless’ Interview: Chrishell Stause Dishes On Joining Cast Of ‘Y&R’

Former ‘All My Children‘ and ‘Days of Our Lives‘ actress Chrishell Stause recently joined ‘The Young and the Restless’ and she is very thrilled about it. Her character Bethany Bryant is slated to debut on May 25. Stause recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest about her new role.

Bethany is said to be one that is ‘wild’ and Stause told SOD she feels like she ‘lucked out’ because it’s a part you always hope to get as an actress. Luck definitely was on her side. Stause dished that her character is a very fun one – one who is in the moment. She further added that Bethany has fun at other people’s expenses, relating that she is so excited for her to finally air.

At present, Stause is on a recurring status with the show. About working without a contract, she said “I feel the possibilities are endless with this character. I’m having a lot of fun with this and I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now, I’m having a blast and I can’t wait to see where this goes, so who knows?”

Stause didn’t have much of a challenge when she reported for her first day at work. Considering that there are so many people she has already worked with or are familiar with on the ‘Y&R’ set, and her character being the perfect one, it really helped. Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), her real-life boyfriend is one of the familiar faces, along with Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea) her best friend and former AMC co-star.

Look for her to debut in her third daytime role on May 25. Stause also played Amanda Dillon on AMC, and crazy Batty-Ben’s (Robert Scott Wilson) sister Jordan Ridgeway on Days.
