‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and The Beautiful’ RENEWED For Another Year!

Great News ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ fans, you can pull out you champagne bottles and glasses and begin toasting as both shows has been renewed for another year. Deadline.com reports that the entire CBS Daytime lineup has been renewed and this includes Y&R, B&B, ‘Let’s Make A Deal’, ‘The Price is Right’ and ‘The Talk’.

Congratulations to both shows which recently celebrated their milestone anniversaries. According to reports, CBS reported a daytime viewer increase of 2% just over a year ago hence the reason for renewing these shows. According to the official release from Deadline ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ received a two year pickup while previously it was announced that ‘The Young and the Restless’ received a multi-year pickup. These pickups will apparently keep both soap operas on the air for the 2017 season.

Angelica McDaniel who is proud of her network stated that “Each year, CBS Daytime produces more than 1,000 episodes of programming – the most for any broadcast network – which is only possible due to the incredible passion of the industry’s best creative talent, both in front of and behind the camera.” She continued by saying “Our loyal audience has made CBS Daytime the #1 daily destination for millions of viewers and we thank them for contributing to this phenomenal success. Next year will be even bigger and bolder!”

We are happy for these shows, especially for the soap operas who in the last couple years we have seen many cancelled. Several viewers were worried that very soon we will be saying goodbye to the few remaining soaps, however things are looking bright for the future. These shows will continue to thrill us with their dramatic, emotional and super cool material. We definitely are looking forward to the year ahead, are you? Congratulations once again!
