The Walking Dead’s (TWD) Season 7 is approaching quickly, but not quite fast enough for fans who have been crying, raging and speculating since that insanely emotional season six finale episode named “Last Day on Earth.” Fans can celebrate because the countdown is on, TWENTY DAYS until the Season 7 premiere!
We have reported a few articles about how some of the main actors felt about the finale and coming back to work to continue where they had left off, no one really knowing who was Lucille’s victim that night. Lauren Cohan, who portrays Maggie Greene, along with Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) admitted how difficult it was to do those scenes and even contemplated showing up for work.

Between The Walking Dead’s fan speculation and the teasers we have all heard, it looks like the season 7 premiere is just the beginning of Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) reign of terror. It’s also been suggested that the upcoming premiere is just a glimpse into how nasty and grizzly it is going to get for the survivors.
One of The Walking Dead’s showrunners, Greg Nicotero, has also revealed some teasers in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. He explained how the season six finale was a brutal experience, and he is not referring to what viewers saw on their TV screens. The actors had to dig deep into their psyche and go to some very dark places to make the scenes work. Nicotero went on to say that the actors were fantastic, and the emotions couldn’t have been more real.

TWD’s Andrew Lincoln has sort of created a tradition for the cast and crew when they return from their annual break. He has his favorite expression, because of an incident that happened in season one with pigs, he always says, “All right everybody, let’s get together and kick this pig.” This is his way of gathering everyone together and getting the new season going. When the cast and crew returned for Season 7, this didn’t happen; everyone knew they would be jumping back into the horrible, dark and emotional scene they ended on in Season 6.
When Greg Nicotero was asked if there will be a lot more to see of the final scenes, that left us with our jaws on the floor; he said that there will be, but he couldn’t go into great detail. He promises that the scene is going to be “bigger” than in the comic books.
