On the commentary track for the season 6 premiere episode, “First Time Again”, The Walking Dead’s executive producer, Greg Nicotero reveals why Reedus was caught with his pants down, literally! “Norman, this was the day that you ran up naked.” The Ep continues to explain, “Norman’s alarm clock didn’t go off and we put a [stunt] double in his wardrobe. Norman refused and got to set, stripped his clothes off on his way to set, and got in the shot before we were even ready.”
TWD showrunner, Scott M. Gimple reveals in the “Here’s Not Here” commentary that they had originally planned for Morgan (Lennie James) to be reunited with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group in train car A at Terminus at the end of season 4, rather than him arriving much later in Alexandria. Gimple also revealed that the Eastman character who reformed Morgan was based on his meeting with forensic psychologist, Dr. Eric Fox on a plane ride to Comic-Con 2014.

Scott Gimple continues to speak on the difference between himself and comic creator Robert Kirkman. “No Way Out”, was where they talk about if people are fundamentally good. Gimple reveals he believes they are, and Kirkman does not! “Not Tomorrow Yet” episode there was original footage of Rosita (Christian Serratos) cleaning and manicuring the Gregory Zombie heads, one of which was the head mold of Greg Nicotero and the other was of Johnny Depp.
The Walking Dead’s episode writer, Angela Kang is heard explaining the Savior named Molly is based on a character mentioned, but never seen, in episode 105 of the comic. Someone mentions that Molly still has a cough, Kang then created a TV version of Savior Molly, who has emphysema.
Originally in “The Same Boat” episode, it was Rick who informed Paula (Alicia Witt) that Maggie (Lauren Cohan) was pregnant, but the take where Carol (Melissa McBride) surprises the Saviors with the news was better, so they cut the earlier part where Rick mentions the news. There are TWD deleted scenes that show more depth to Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Nicholas (Michael Traynor). In “Thank You”, Glenn continues to train Nicholas and says, “Two men I look up to told me that intentions matter. Forgiveness matters.” Could that be reference to Hershel (Scott Wilson) and Dale (Jeffrey DeMunn)?
The last bit of spoilers about the Season Six DVD release is that Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) is really good at cursing. The alternate curse-filled take of the season’s final scenes are included on the Blu-ray set and it truly needs to be seen and heard to believe.
