cOn The Bold and the Beautiful, what goes around comes around! Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is getting a browbeating from his kid RJ (Anthony Turpel) just like he harangued his poor pop, Eric Forrester (John McCook).
In a strangely ironic twist, Ridge found out that the acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree! Let’s hope for Ridge’s sake that the consequences are a little different this time around.
For weeks Ridge berated his father over his upcoming wedding to persona non grata Quinn (Rena Sofer). He threatened, cajoled, begged and pleaded, and carried on like a child denied candy in the checkout aisle.
What came of all his histrionics? During an especially frenzied argument between Ridge and his dad, Eric clutched his chest, gasped for air and wound up in a hospital bed.
Ridge is unrepentant, and apparently RJ is a fast learner because it’s deja vue all over again! That’s right, RJ is fighting Ridge over a wedding, this time between his mother Brook Logan (Katherine Kelly Lange) and a man who isn’t his dad.
Brooke is about to marry Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and RJ can’t understand why Ridge won’t stop the impending nuptials. Hey, this sounds familiar!
Only this time, Ridge gets to see his mini-me in action, and be on the receiving end of the verbosity. For viewers, it’s a bit of sweet revenge. B&B viewers have got to be doing a little happy dance seeing grown man Ridge get taken to the woodshed by his own little fireball.
Granted, RJ has been mostly respectful, just adamant about his mom and dad being the couple that should be heading to the alter. In contrast, Ridge was noisy, insolent and actually questioned his father’s sanity and morality!
Will Ridge learn a lesson in humility at the hands of his brazen son? Only time will tell, and in the meantime it’s poetic justice to see him get a dose of his own medicine!
