Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is over the moon on The Bold and the Beautiful. Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is back in his arms and life is good!
Wait a minute, what is Liam thinking? Did he hear the part about Steffy leaving her husband Wyatt (Darin Brooks) because she can’t stand his mother Quinn (Rena Sofer)? If Liam has any self-respect he would tell Steffy to leave him alone and pick another sloppy second.
Liam has a history of being Steffy’s lapdog and this time around it’s no different. He’s content to wait around until she snaps her fingers and when she does he fetches her slippers. They’ve yet to have a happily ever after, which should be a red flag to him.
Liam has connections, a great personality and good looks. Heck, he even had the gumption to go mano a mano with Bob Barker! So why is he so willing to spin his wheels in a relationship that never gains traction?
Liam has options that most people only dream about! What happened to the environmental foundation he wanted to start? By now he could have a plan in place to save the world, instead of saving Steffy from her latest bad romance.
And what about Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer)? Unlike Steffy she only has eyes for Liam, and comes with a lot less baggage. Who knows, Liam might find himself falling for Ivy again if he gave their relationship a second chance.
The stage is set for another Liam-Steffy do-over, but how long will it last? Given their history, Liam may be in for yet another heartache, and sooner rather than later.
This time around Liam would be wise to deflect the Steffy rebound. For once he should put his self-respect first and do what’s best for him, not his fickle damsel in distress. If he did he might find that he likes being top dog!
