‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ POLL: Are Maya and Rick Being Selfish For Asking Nicole to Carry Another Baby? VOTE!

The Bold and the Beautiful’s (B&B) Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) and husband, Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) were a force to be reckoned with when Rick was at the top of Forrester Creations. When Maya’s secret came out that she was a transgender woman, there were conflicted emotions about it. Maya really didn’t know how Rick would react, and to the surprise of many, he was loving and accepting, and still wanted to marry her.

The couple endured resentment and bitterness from her parents, especially her father Julius Avant (Obba Babatunde). They chose to go ahead with their marriage, surrounded by Rick’s loving family. Of course, after marriage, the next logical step is to have a baby or expand your family.

Since B&B’s Maya was unable to carry a baby, her and Rick approached her younger sister, Nicole (Reign Edwards) in hopes that she would be their surrogate, so their child would have both the Forrester and Avant genes. Nicole agreed, not realizing the love of her life, Zende Forrester Dominguez (Rome Flynn) would end things with her and sleep with her childhood best friend, Sasha Thompson (Felisha Cooper), who ultimately turned out to be her sister from her father’s extramarital affair.

After witnessing Nicole give her sister and brother-in-law the most precious gift anyone could give them, Zende finally understood why Nicole did it, and was determined to reunite with her. Nicole and Zende have been going strong since then, but now Maya and Rick have asked Nicole if she was willing to do it again, even though they knew how much she almost lost the first time.

Zende is dead set against it, and Nicole was determined to turn them down again, but the pressure got to her, and one look at her niece and she agreed to do it. Zende and Nicole barely survived the first time, and with him being adamantly against it this time, Nicole is about to lose everything. Nicole may be the most selfless person in Los Angeles, in willing to do this again.
