‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ News: Pierson Fode Starring In Exciting New Movie, ‘It’s Time’

A few weeks ago Pierson Fode [Thomas Forrester] of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ teased fans with a photo on Instagram. “I’m about to start shooting something amazing. Can’t tell you anything yet…soon…”
Pierson has finally revealed information about the new project. The actor is filming ‘It’s Time,’ in Mississippi. The movie is based on the true story of two college football players, Brad Gaines [Pierson Fode] and Chucky Mullins [Sedale Threatt, Jr.] after a head-on collision during the 1989 Ole Miss Rebel’s Homecoming game against Vanderbilt.
After Mullins dove head first into Brad Gaines the University of Mississippi star shattered four vertebrae in his cervical spine which left him a quadriplegic. During Mullins time in the hospital Gaines often visited him and the two began a close friendship that lasted until the day Mullins died.
Chucky Mullins did return to Ole Miss in June 1990 to complete his undergraduate studies. Sadly, the former athlete passed away on May 6, 1991.
Brad Gaines was recently on the set in Brandon, Mississippi during filming and talked about Mullins. “It’s hard. One of the times will be this Friday [October 28] and that’s the anniversary of the accident. There are three days that I go [to the cemetery where Mullins is buried] that I don’t miss.” Gaines also visits Chucky Mullins grave on the anniversary of his death and on Christmas Day.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ fans will see Pierson Fode as Brad Gaines when ‘It’s Time’ is released sometime in 2017. ‘B&B’ fans may notice that Thomas is still an important part of the storyline. Pierson has been traveling back and forth between Mississippi and Los Angeles while shooting both the soap opera and the film.
