‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ News: Aaron D. Spears Returns To B&B and DOOL in Recurring Roles

Soap actors usually find one daytime drama and call it home and stay put. ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Aaron D. Spears [Justin Barber] will soon arrive in Salem as the recurring role of Lt. Raines on ‘Days of Our Lives.’

Spears starred in the BET primetime drama ‘Being Mary Jane’ as Mark Bradley. Filming for season 4 is currently underway. Mary may have left for Africa at the end of season 3 but don’t count him out for season 2 of ‘Being Mary Jane.’

‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ spoilers reveal Aaron D. Spears is on recurring status and will bring Justin back in town soon. Whenever Justin shows up in town he seems to partner with Bill Spencer [Don Diamont] and make life difficult for everyone.

How will Spears handle roles on two different soap operas? In a recent interview with CBS Soaps in Depth the actor revealed that executives for both daytime dramas told him, “As long as you’re available when we need you, it’s cool.”

The actor noted that in the past it was nearly impossible for daytime stars to take on work outside their role on one soap opera. However, in the changing world of web series and streaming services soap operas have become used to the idea of sharing actors who are on recurring status.

Aaron D. Spears has completed several television projects while on recurring status with ‘The Bold and the Beautiful.’ Currently, the actor has a movie, “For the Love of Christmas,” in post-production. Previous television roles include guest star roles on ‘Bones,’ ‘Criminal Minds,’ ‘Boston Legal,’ ‘NCIS’ and ‘Castle.’
