Soap Opera Weekly Ratings June 13-17: ‘GH’ Rebounds – ‘Y&R’ Suffers Huge View Loss – ‘B&B’ Ratings Down – ‘DOOL’ Reaches New Ratings Low

The soap opera ratings for the week of June 13 through June 17 are out and there is bad news for ‘The Young and the Restless.’ Preemptions caused a massive downturn in the daytime drama’s ratings both in total viewers and with women 18-49.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ and ‘Days of Our Lives’ ratings were also down the week of June 13-17. After a nice bump in the ratings the week of June 6-10 Soap Opera Network reports that ‘DOOL’ ratings have reached a new low in both total viewers and women ages 18-49.
Days of Our Lives
After gaining momentum the week of June 6-10 ‘DOOL’ ratings hit new lows across the board. During the week of June 13-17 the daytime drama 2,074,000 total viewers were watching. This represents a loss of 53,000 viewers. There were 343,000 women in the 18-49 demographic who watched ‘DOOL’ and that’s a loss of 23,000 viewers in that category and new low in this demographic.
General Hospital
Soap Opera Network reports that ‘GH’ rebounded and had 2,698,000 total viewers during the week of June 13 through June 17. This is a gain of 176,000 total viewers over the previous week. Women ages 18-49 represent 449,000 viewers – a gain of 37,000 over the week before.
The Bold and the Beautiful
The ratings continue to drop for ‘B&B’ with 3,634,000 total viewer June 13-17 – a loss of 23,000. Women 18-49 are still tuning out the soap opera with 514,000 watching. This is a loss of 10,000 viewers in this demographic.
The Young and the Restless
‘Y&R’ hit a new low in the ratings for June 13-17 with 4,280,000 total viewers. This represents a loss of 412,000 in this demographic. The drop in ratings could be blamed on numerous preemptions of the daytime drama throughout the week. It was a bad week for ‘The Young and the Restless’ in the women 18-49 demographic with 579,000 tuning in. This represents a loss of 127,000 viewers and is also a new low for the soap opera.
