‘Nashville’ Season 5 News: Will Chase And Aubrey Peeples OUT, Layla And Luke Won’t Be Moving To CMT

‘Nashville’ Season 5 news that when the popular drama returns to CMT, there will be a few cast members missing. According to Nashville spoilers from TV Line, Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples are OUT, and will not be making the move from ABC to cable TV with the rest of the country music show’s cast.

Layla and Luke’s exit don’t exactly come as shocks to Nashville fans, although they definitely made things interesting in previous seasons. However, the storylines that they were brought on to the cast to help push along are pretty much over with. As you recall – Avery (Jonathan Jackson) was well aware of Layla’s plot to break up him and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere), now that her scheme is exposed, she might as well tuck her tail between her legs and get out while the getting is still good.

As for Will Chase’s character Luke, he was pretty irrelevant in Season 4. And, let’s be honest, Nashville fans never really responded too well to Rayna and Luke’s romance – without a major love interest on the show, Luke’s storylines pretty much dissolved as well. Unless that is you are counting the drama with the record label, which was pretty lackluster too.

Rumors are still floating around that Hayden Panettiere may be leaving the Nashville cast as well, but so far no one has confirmed nor denied them. It’s a little hard to imagine the country music drama without Hayden Panettiere as its leading lady though.

Nashville Season 5 spoilers are slowly trickling in as the new executive producers from Lionsgate take over and prepare for the show’s big CMT debut. At this stage in the game, it’s unclear which route the new regime will be taking story wise, but we can’t wait to see.
