'Nashville' RENEWED For Season 5: Deal Reached - Will Broadcast On CMT And Stream on HULU‘Nashville’ fans were outraged when ABC canceled their beloved primetime soap opera four seasons. CMT has announced that it will broadcast ‘Nashville’ on its network and it will also be available for streaming on Hulu. And that means ‘General Hospital’ alum Johnathan Jackson [Lucky Spencer] will be back as Avery Barkley.

After ‘Nashville’ was canceled fans took to social media begging Lionsgate TV to find another network or streaming service. Lionsgate TV responded by starting a campaign on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtags #Nashies #BringBackNashville.

After weeks of tweeting and negotiations ‘Nashville’ will return to the small screen. According to The Tennessean the deal includes an incentive package that will have the state, Metro, the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. and Ryman Hospitality provide funds to offset the cost of the show’s production.

When ‘Nashville’ returns it will be under the direction of a new creative team. However, the entire cast is expected to return. ‘General Hospital’ fans were disappointed to learn Johnathan Jackson was not returning to ‘GH. ‘Nashville’ fans are thrilled to hear life has been breathed back into their show.
