‘Nashville’ News: Lionsgate Says Nashville Could Find A New Home

Will ‘Nashville’ have a season 5 after being canceled by ABC – it looks that way! The company, Lionsgate which is responsible for the show is doing everything they can to save it.

Fans were quite disappointed when the network decided to cancel one of their favorite primetime serials. Since then, fans have joined the rally for Nashville’s return. They’ve been petitioning and begging for Nashville to return.

#BringBackNashville is the popular hashtag used in an effort to have their favorite show for a fifth season. So far things are looking pretty bright and it looks like we will get to see what happened after that horrible season finale.

Lionsgate executives believe strongly that Nashville will return – but on another network. The hard working company disclosed that currently four or five networks have already expressed interest in picking up the show. And the company is also disclosing its plans for the future. “#Nashies What a cliffhanger! But we won’t leave you hanging. There’s more story to be told. #BringBackNashville” they tweeted.

Kevin Beggs, Lionsgate’s head of TV expressed that fans are clamoring for a lot more seasons. “We kind of go one season at a time in our thinking. Our near-term plan is to get another full season. These kinds of shows can go forever and ever — obviously, that’s our hope and expectation, but we’ve  to do it one season at a time. So right now, we’re all about Season 5. So we hope to land Season 5 and keep talking about this show for years to come,” he added.

But not to worry fans, if the show does return all of your favorite characters will still be in the show. Beggs confirmed that they currently have long-term deals with the members of the cast.
