‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny On Road To Recovery from Paralysis – Will Mobster Use Wheelchair To Trick Enemies?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos [Maurice Benard] is on the road to a full recovery but won’t get up and dance out of that chair just yet. In fact, Sonny will ask Carly Corinthos [Laura Wright] to keep his recovery a secret.

But what’s the point of not letting anyone know? First, Sonny doesn’t want to jinx his recovery. At first, GH spoilers indicate his recovery starts with just a little leg movement but will then progress. And if Sonny wants to keep it a secret, that’s up to him – his doctors aren’t allowed to reveal it.

And we know Carly can keep Sonny’s secrets – she’s been at it for years. The hard part will be keeping it a secret from his kids – they’re always underfoot and very concerned about his recovery. None of those kids can keep quiet, so he’ll have to hide it from them as well.

Sonny greatest fear with the wheelchair has been that he can’t protect his family if he’s not on his feet and he knows he looks like a weak target. That’s why he’s had Max Giambetti [Derk Cheetwood] and his other guys out in force.

But now, Sonny will know he’s getting better and will be back to his old self soon. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate that Sonny may continue on in the wheelchair for a while, because he wants to use the perception that he’s weak to make a big power move.

Sonny is very intent on taking down Ava Jerome [Maura West] with no idea that she’s just a front man for Paul Hornsby [Richard Burgi] so he may let her continue to poke fun at him being stuck in a wheelchair even though her remarks sting.

That way, Ava has no idea that he’s back to his full self again and will keep operating under the assumption that he’s ripe for the picking because of his apparent handicap. Sonny is pretty clever to play things this way and it looks like Ava will fall for the ruse.

Will Sonny’s miracle recovery allow him to best Ava at the mob game in Port Charles? Will Sonny let BFF Jason Morgan [Billy Miller] know that he’s faking paralysis and has recovered his strength? Will Carly fight Sonny on not telling his kids that he’s healed up?
