Why is everyone hating on Sonny? Because they think he’s responsible for his son Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) untimely death in a horrific car crash. Even Sonny himself isn’t so sure that he’s innocent!
Can you imagine the heartache of losing a child, thinking that you’re to blame, and having the whole world condemn you?
Someone needs to step up and help a brother out! No matter what transpired that night, Sonny has lost a son. He is grieving and he deserves some compassion for his loss.
No one is beating Sonny up more than the coffee importer himself. He knows he could be responsible for Morgan’s death and that kind of thinking leads to dark and twisted places. Who’s there to listen, and make sure Sonny stays on his meds?
Not his wife, Carly (Laura Wright), she couldn’t run away from Sonny fast enough. And his kids feel the same way. Michael (Chad Duell) has been especially vocal about Sonny’s culpability. He’s taken it upon himself to tell the other kids that Sonny’s one creepy dude: he may as well be wearing a clown mask!
General Hospital spoilers tease that things are going to go from bad to worse for Sonny, and Carly has banned him from his own son’s funeral. At this point Sonny is spiraling, and beginning to hallucinate – he may very well be on the verge of mania, just like poor Morgan. The only person who seems to sympathize for Sonny is Nelle – but considering her mysterious past we are still not sure if she is a friend or foe.
Like he’s done so many times before, Jason (Billy Miller) needs to be the one to flex his loyalty and save Sonny from himself. He needs to show up and be a friend when no one else will; Sonny is a grieving father and he deserves at least that much!
