Who would have thought a serial killer could force the closure of a hospital? That’s exactly what happened and now the Board of Directors, which includes Tracy Quartermaine [Jane Elliot] is scrambling to put the pieces back together.

Dr. Monica Quartermaine [Leslie Charleston] has been hit the hardest by the closure of the hospital. Monica has devoted her life to ‘General Hospital,’ often at the expense of her marriage and family. But even Monica understands that the facility cannot be run without staff.

What happens next? ‘GH’ spoilers reveal that Tracy will be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to reviving a hospital that is currently on life support. In a recent interview with ABC Soaps in Depth co-head writer Sherry Altman revealed that a “shocking tragedy will have an impact [on the hospital], too.”

Have you ever known a Quartermaine to concede defeat without a battle? But is there a first time for everything? Despite the fact that Tracy must help Dillon [Robert Palmer Watkins] work through his grief and anger about Paul [Richard Burgi], she’s going to take the control and make certain that the hospital not only reopens, but comes back stronger than ever.
