‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Nathan Comes Clean To Maxie About Claudette – Naxie Break-Up On The Horizon?

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that Nathan West [Ryan Paevey] will continue to be tormented by the fact that he’s not been honest with Maxie Jones [Kirsten Storms] and will finally come clean to her about Claudette. Well, not quite clean, but he’ll reveal maybe 97% of the truth.

We know from Nathan’s discussion with Dante Falconeri [Dominic Zamprogna] that Claudette is not just an ex of Nathan’s, but was his wife. Maxie has no idea that Nathan was married before – and that’s something major to leave out – particularly when Nathan knows all of Maxie’s dirty laundry.

Holding back on a former spouse is a big deal – particularly when Nathan groggily said “I love you Claudette.” Marriage and love? Those two facts together will be a lot for Maxie to deal with – can she deal with it? Is Naxie facing a potential split?

We already know that Griffin Munro [Matt Cohen] and Maxie have electric chemistry and are attracted to each other – are the writers laying groundwork for a new relationship if Maxie and Nathan split? They split Lulu Spencer [Emme Rylan] and Dante, so why not Maxie and Nathan?

Maxie already found the white glove in Nathan’s tuxedo – that indicates a woman in society – likely a ritzy upper crust kind of gal since Nathan was raised in privilege by Madeline Reeves [Donna Mills]. Will Maxie feel insecure once she knows Nathan was married to a woman of some status?

And just where is the mysterious Claudette? GH spoilers tease that Claudette will come to Port Charles at some point – perhaps for May sweeps. When she does show up, will it bring up all of Nathan’s loving feelings?

Plus, we need to know why Nathan and Claudette split. If Nathan ditched Claudette, that’s a much better scenario than if Claudette left Nathan and she’s stuck in Nathan’s mind (and heart) as the one who got away. That’s something Maxie may feel like she can’t compete with – and that may be the truth.

If GH writers are laying the groundwork for a Griffin-Maxie romance (let’s call it “Grixie”), they may hold out until Claudette hits town and then mess with the couplings. Can Maxie get past Nathan never telling her he was married while giving her hell about her lies?

Is it the hypocrisy of lying while telling her not to scheme that will make Maxie most angry? Or will it be the fact that he still loves his wife? Let’s hope it’s an ex-wife – if Nathan isn’t divorced, that would likely be too much for Maxie to handle!
